Or is it rather that you choose not to understand it, along with all the other evidence and problems presented against your precious 607 / 1914 date because of the horror that would result if you discover yourself to be in the wrong?

  today i turned in my field service time for may.

  i believe its my 6th month of zero time (seems like a year) so on my time slip i put my name, month and wrote in inactive.

  i told my wife she just said i was crazy.. .

  Nice one. Do you put the report in to stop them asking you for it? or for some other reason?

  I remember putting in a 0 report at least for 1 month when i was pissed off and did it partly as a deliberate gesture and partly to prevent being asked for it. But he STILL asked me for my report despite this..., but once I'd made my mind up and wasn't going out anymore then I didnt bother with reports and when asked just stated my position.....

  Eggy quoting Josephus cant help you here, he's too unreliable.

  He gives these reigns: (names given as in his writings)

  Nebuchadnezzar 43

  Evil Merodach 18

  Neglissar 40

  Labossordacus 9 months

  Baltasar (called Naboandelus by the Babylonians) 17 years.

  Now that = approx 100 years (118 - 18) from destruction of Jerusalem in Nebs 18th year, to fall of Babylon in 539. That clearly is WRONG and does not support 607 any better than it does 587.

  It's worth pointing out that he also says 50 years captivity instead of 70 years in the last instance this likely being as a correction. So to use him as a support for 607 is to be selectively quoting him.

  Farkel we know simple and logical doesnt work for some people lol...

  when i was a gormless super spiritual jw i did absolutely everything to the sanctification & glory of jehovahs name... i was a total perfectionist & i soo didnt want to bring any ill repute towards jehovah or the congregation, that with absolutely everything i did, i gave it my 100%.

  i was a total boot licker doing everything just so in every area of my life... .

  since waking up to the truth about the truth, i can no longer give my all to things.

  I'm a perfectionist at heart. But I've only quit being a JW recently so cant say how that's affected it yet...

  I'm all or nothing, I dont like failure and bodging things but quite often end up doing so lol. I think it is a flaw if taken to extremes though as it will diminish your ability to do or try anything new. I know I dont like being crap at anything and if it doesnt come quickly then I tend to give up trying easily.

  i study with a highly esteemed pioneer & elder's kid and i've learned on here that pioneers are right up there when it comes to gossip, as are elders kids, so i've got a double whammy.

  unfortunately i didn't learn that until after i'd trusted her.

  call me a moron but i'm totally drawn in by the kindness.

  Taking blood = automatic disassociation (DA), unless there's grounds for mercy based on mental health issues. By taking a step that = automatic DA like this as a baptised adult JW (JW minors may have legal rulings forcing blood on them against their will so it's not voluntary) they are treated the same as a disfellowshipped JW.

  I hope you can help the other study you mentioned out as well... You should have a bible study of your own you two lol

  But then if they can travel through solid objects being spirit(tm) beings and all then they dont need to follow the cable do they, they can just land on your head instead and make things a whole lot easier for themselves....

  The love will cool off if you ask too many awkward questions, show too much intelligence (by asking questions they are supposed to suppress), are not seen to tow (toe?) the line quickly enough etc.

  Basically if you make yourself stand out too much as "different". Difference is the key. It's not liked, usually it's subconscious and not deliberate on the part of the individuals becasue they are under cult mind control and will "obey" the propaganda coming thru the WTS publications especially the WT study articles. So it's kind of drilled into them, and the more "spiritual" a person is the more the control is exerted on them. So yes, the LAST person to trust with private information would be Pioneers, Elders, children of elders. That's a generalisation I know, but a good rule of thumb.

  Stick to your guns and ask questions, especially the hard ones.

  I was born into it, baptised at 16. Been there done that etc. I've done my research these last few years and can sadly confirm it is a CULT based on false chronology and false premise. Do your own research into the WTS history, the changes and your own bible reading and thinking, and dont just take the JWs word for anything, ok.
